Pediatric Therapy FAQs

Are you accepting new clients? If not, how long is the waitlist?

Behaviorcraft has multiple locations so our waitlist and onboarding process varies depending on which center you’re interested in, but we are always accepting new children. Request an appointment with us or to learn more information today!

What insurance do you take?

We believe that all children deserve the best possible care, so we accept most major commercial insurance and Medicaid. We will ensure you receive the most affordable rates possible when working with your insurance company. If you do not have insurance, or one that is not accepted by us, we will provide you a detailed estimate of our services and what your out-of-pocket cost will be.

How much do your pediatric therapy services cost?

Most of our ABA therapy services are covered by insurance so we will begin by reviewing your benefits and coverage. From there, we will determine the exact amount for how much the cost of our services will be for you.

What areas do you serve?

We offer our services at three of our Virginia Locations. We also offer in-home and virtual therapy services as well to ensure your child receives the care they need.

What is Applied Behavior Analysis (ABA) therapy?

Applied Behavior Analysis (ABA) therapy focuses on understanding the behaviors within children who have autism. It helps to improve their behaviors ranging from independent functioning abilities to social skills. At Behaviorcraft, we take a play-based approach at evolving your child’s skills and behaviors.

How does ABA therapy work?

ABA therapy has a patient-centric approach that essentially allows each individual to focus on their own unique and diverse strengths, weaknesses, needs and abilities and is widely known as being one of the best treatments for autism.

At Behaviorcraft, our ABA therapy process starts by a careful assessment and analysis of your child. Our Board Certified Behavior Analysts (BCBAs) will then take this information and create a personalized treatment plan based on play.

This approach allows for the child to be in a comfortable and natural setting, which is more helpful for making progress and learning. This plan is broken down into small, but concrete steps that are encouraged through consistent positive reinforcement. This reinforcement encourages the child to make more positive behavioral changes over time.

What ages do you serve?

At Behaviorcraft, we meet the needs of children with differential diagnoses from birth to 21 years of age.

How long should therapy services last for my child?

Due to each child having different needs, therapy timelines will vary. When we have our custom evaluations to develop individual treatment plans, we can offer an estimated treatment timeline for your child’s therapy. We also offer reassessments during treatment.
